Dear Chuck,

It was so nice to get your newsletter and to see a nice large group of
physics majors with women now involved.

I was Dr. Harold Way's assistant in 1940 and 41 and it proved to be a most
important two years. I left Knox upon graduation and since I had a degree in
physics was able to change my infantry commission to Signal Corps.

I entered the radar school at Ft Monmouth N.J.  I spent almost five years in the
service ending up a captain in the Air Force. A bit later I went to work for

The Lawrence Livermore Laboratory from which I retired in 1979.

So much for a very old man's experience in the wake of a Knox Physics education.

Go for it guys and gals!
